Terms of use
The rules for using Vanish Play
Plain words, no tricks. Please read them before you start.
Version 1.3 · In effect from October 5, 2026
New in 1.3: section 7 clarifies that web trial videos require verified card setup and that a payment method cannot receive another free trial through a different account.
The short version
- Vanish Play hides a person or object in your own video and can add a question, a countdown and a reveal. You download the result. We never post it for you.
- You must be 18 or older and use only footage you may use. Get the clear agreement of every private adult you hide, and never hide anyone under 18.
- We aim to delete your original video within 24 hours. We keep your finished video, only for you, for 30 days so you can download it again, and you can delete it any time.
- You can try it free for 7 days with up to 3 videos. A payment method is needed to start. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, we charge the plan you chose when the trial ends, and it renews automatically until you cancel.
- You own your videos and your results.
- Please use it kindly. Do not use it to harm, trick or harass anyone.
- If a video made with Vanish Play harms you, shows you without your agreement or copies your work, you can report it, and we act on valid reports.
This summary only helps you read. The full terms below are what count.
1. Who we are and what these terms are
Vanish Play is run by Hadj-chaib Abdelfeteh, based in Japan (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the Vanish Play website or app (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Our business details are in the legal notice. You can always reach us through the contact form.
2. What the service does
Vanish Play lets you pick a person or object in a video from your own device. It covers that target with a moving mask and can build a guessing challenge: a question, a countdown and a reveal. You review the result privately and download it yourself.
Vanish Play does not publish your video, run a public feed or post to any social network for you.
The service is automatic. Automatic checks look at each result before you see it, and we try to stop a video when the cover may have slipped off the target. A video we stop is not counted against your plan. The checks can miss things, so please watch the whole video before you share it. If a result has a fault we missed, tell us through the contact form and we will look at it and, where it is our fault, give that video back.
3. Who can use it, and your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- You need an account. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account is for one person. Please give us accurate information, and tell us through the contact form if you think someone else has used your account.
- Do not use the service where the law of your country does not allow it.
4. Your videos and your rights
You keep all rights in your videos and in the results we make from them. We do not claim ownership of them.
You allow us to store, process and copy your video only as needed to make your result and run the service, including through service providers who work for us, and only until they are deleted as described in section 6. We do not use your videos to train our own models or for advertising.
You promise that:
- you filmed the video, or you have the right to use it and to have it processed by us;
- every private adult you choose to hide has clearly agreed to it, and you will not hide anyone who is under 18;
- your video does not break the law or anyone’s rights.
You are responsible for what you do with the result, including where and how you share it and following the rules of the platforms you post on.
5. Using the service properly
You agree not to:
- use footage you do not have permission to use, or hide a person who has not agreed or who is under 18;
- use Vanish Play to harass, defame, threaten, trick or invade the privacy of anyone;
- upload anything illegal, or sexual content involving anyone under 18 or anyone who has not clearly agreed to it;
- upload nudity, sexually explicit content or graphic violence;
- get around limits, the trial rules (for example by making extra accounts to get more free trials), or our security;
- copy, reverse engineer, scrape, overload or resell the service.
Vanish Play is a creative tool. It is not made or tested for legal, safety, security or evidence work, or to remove sensitive information that the law requires you to protect. The cover is a visual effect, and we do not promise it is complete.
6. How long we keep your videos
Your uploads and results are private. We aim to delete your original video and its working files soon after you finish downloading, and no later than 24 hours after an upload starts. That includes work that failed, was cancelled or was abandoned.
We keep each finished video, private to you, for 30 days after it is ready, so you can download it again. Then we delete it automatically. You can delete a finished video yourself at any time with “Delete now”, and deleting your account deletes all of them at once. We do not look at a finished video, share it or use it for anything except giving it to you, unless a complaint, a safety check or the law requires it.
Copies in a provider’s backups can last longer, on the provider’s own schedule, and we cannot promise they are erased sooner. Vanish Play is not a storage service: download and keep your own copy of anything you need. The privacy page explains the other information we keep and how to delete your account.
7. Free trial, plans and payments
- Free trial. An eligible new account can try Vanish Play free for 7 days with up to 3 videos, once per person. On the website, trial videos require verified card setup and trials are limited to one per account and payment method. App Store and Google Play trial eligibility is verified through the store. Videos made during the trial carry a small watermark. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Plans. When the trial ends, your chosen plan starts and the first payment is taken. Plans renew automatically every month or every year, whichever you chose, until you cancel, and we charge in advance. The plans, their prices and their videos are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars. The total you will be charged is shown on the payment page before you confirm.
- Your videos. A video counts against your plan only when you can download it. If a video fails, we stop it, or you cancel it before you have a usable result, you get it back. You receive your plan’s videos each month. Extra videos that you buy never expire and are used after your monthly videos.
- Price changes. Your plan renews at the price you saw when you subscribed. If you joined at a launch price that the pricing page says you keep, we will not raise it while your plan continues without a break. For any other price change, we will tell you at least 30 days before it affects you, and it applies from your next renewal after that notice. You can cancel before then.
- Payment providers. Web payments are handled by our payment processor, and payments in the iPhone and Android apps by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your full card number, and their terms apply to those payments.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time before the next renewal, in your Vanish Play account or in the App Store or Google Play settings if you subscribed there. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. A period that has already started is not refunded, except where the law or the store’s rules require it. The legal notice has the details.
- Changing your mind (EU, EEA and UK). If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. To do so, use the “Withdraw from contract here” form, or tell us through the contact form. If you asked us to start your plan straight away, you pay only for the part of the service you have already used. Purchases made in the App Store or Google Play follow the store’s own rules as well.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may pause your plan’s videos while we try again. If it still fails after a few tries, your plan ends.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.
8. Closing an account
You can stop using Vanish Play and delete your account at any time, from your account area or by following the account deletion instructions. If you delete your account, any videos you have not used are lost.
We may restrict or close an account if it breaks these terms, is used to harm others or abuse the service, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why and let you respond first. We cannot always warn you, for example when someone could be harmed.
If we close a paid account for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for and any extra videos you bought and have not used. For purchases made in the App Store or Google Play, the store handles the refund.
9. Changes and availability of the service
We may improve, change or stop parts of the service. If a change clearly reduces what a paying member gets, we will give reasonable notice, and you can cancel before it applies.
We try to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will always work without interruption. It can be unavailable for maintenance, or when processing capacity is limited. If that stops your video, it is not counted against your plan.
10. What belongs to us
The Vanish Play name, logo, mascot, software and design belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service as these terms allow, but you may not copy, change or sell it.
Challenge videos can end with a short Vanish Play end card. The results you download are yours.
If you send us feedback or ideas, you let us use them freely, without payment or any duty to you.
11. What we promise, and its limits
We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we cannot promise that results will be perfect, that the cover will hide a target completely, or that the service will fit your needs.
Except where we act intentionally or with gross negligence, or where the law gives you a right that cannot be limited:
- we are not responsible for indirect or knock-on losses (such as lost income, lost followers or damage to reputation), for how you use or share your results, or for problems outside our control (such as internet outages or platform decisions); and
- our total responsibility to you for anything connected with the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury, or any right you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
12. If someone makes a claim because of your content
You are responsible for your videos and for what you do with your results. Keep proof that each private adult you hide agreed, and show it to us if we ask. If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms, you agree to help us deal with it and, as far as the law allows, to cover our reasonable costs that come from that claim.
13. Reporting a video, and what we do about it
Vanish Play does not publish videos. A video made with it is shared by the person who made it, on another site. If you think such a video harms you, shows you without your agreement, copies your work or is illegal, tell us through the report form. It also helps to tell the site where you saw it, because they can take it down there.
Tell us what is wrong, where you saw the video and how to reach you. For a copyright complaint, please also name the work and who owns it, say that you are the owner or may act for the owner, say that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed by the owner, their agent or the law, and say that what you wrote is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you may act for the owner. The form asks for each of these.
We aim to answer within 2 working days. For sexual content or a child in danger we act at once. When a report is valid, we remove or switch off the video we hold and, where we can, restrict the account involved. We may also remove a video that we reasonably believe is illegal or breaks these terms, even without a report.
If your own video was removed after a complaint and you think that was a mistake, tell us through the same form and choose “My video was removed by mistake”. We will tell you what we need and, where the law allows, give the video back if the person who complained does not start legal action in time.
We end the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyright or other people’s rights, or who keep breaking these terms, where that is appropriate.
Because we delete videos on a schedule, we may not be able to see the video itself by the time we hear about it, so what you tell us really helps.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We publish every new version on this page, with its date, before it applies. For changes that matter, we also give at least 14 days’ notice by email or inside the service, except when a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then. The date at the top shows the current version.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Japan. If a dispute cannot be settled informally, the courts of Japan may hear it. This does not take away any right you have to go to court in your own country, or the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live. Please contact us first through the contact form: most problems can be solved quickly.
16. The small print
If part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce something straight away, we do not give up the right to do it later. You may not transfer your account to someone else. These terms are the whole agreement between us about the service. If we provide a translation, the English version applies.
If you got the app from the App Store or Google Play, the store’s own terms also apply to that download. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms.
17. Contact
Use the contact form for any question about these terms. How we handle your information, and how to ask us to delete it, is explained on the privacy page.
